DC Nothern VA house prices have dropped approximately 30%, A 500K house sold in 2006 is now on the market again for 350K. Can prices go substantially lower or should I buy now? The rates are starting to climb, however, the house price slide counters. 30Yr $1900/mo @ 5% for a 355K house vs another 10% drop, 300K house @ 6% is $1800/mo. It seems raising rates will only drive house prices down further and with alt-a and option loans maturing ar peak in 2011, it wopuld seem the housing prices stabilize after the forclosures dry up at that point. It seems housing value is due for another 20% decrease for a few years before recovering, making a house in even a strong metropolitan area possibly valued at 50% of it's 2006 peak. I have a 1998 Chevy Malibu, V6, engine won't turn over.?

Ok, here's the scoop, I own a 98 Chevy Malibu, V6, 3100 engine. The other day I was on my way to work when my car died on my suddenly. I had enough momentum to pull into a parkinglot. I got the car started, it would run, really rough, and then kill after about 10 seconds. We had it towed home, replaced the fuel filter and starter, still no luck. The engine cranks over VERY slow. Did a little reading in our Haynes book, and found the section on the Crankshaft Sensor. While reading it, it described A LOT of what's going on with our car. The check engine light came on a while back, took it in, ran a diagnostic check, came up misfire on cyl #5, even after replacing all plugs & wires. Had it towed to the shop, mechanic REFUSES to look @ the sensor and says the engine is seasing up. Is this and or can this indeed be the case? My gut tells me otherwise... can someone help? Thanks!!

I am trying to covert all my sons old disney tapes to dvd for my daughter. I bought a dvd recorder with a built in vhs for dubbing and I tought I was set.I paid like $250.00. I was able to copy the first tape ANTZ , ( Dream Works Pictures) with no problems. Then I tried A Bugs Life, ( Disney / Pixar) and it said copy protected cannot copy. I tried other tapes with no success. Disney, Pixar, Dream Works, Universal. For whatever reason Antz worked now nothing else will. ANy help I can get would be appreciated. I am just trying to avoid having to buy all the dvd's when I allready have the tapes.

Ok well I was in P.E and we were playing badminton. Everting was going fine with my friends and stuff. Once when I was in Mich. we stopped in a bar that had the MONSTER BURGER! It was as round as a large pizza and they had specially made buns for it. Each burger had about 2 tomatos, 2 onions, half a head of lettuce, and had a great tasting cheddar cheese made from some place in Michigan. Depressed teen without friends?

my daughter has eliminated all friends in her life. she gives them up easily little by little as she has a zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol and at age 19 thats what they are all starting to experience. shes a tad mature for her age and has no patience for teenage drama. her boyfriend of 3 years just broke up with her as they fight all the time. he hates the fact she doesnt have the same resposibilities he has. she works and goes to school and her earnings are hers to spend as she wishes. his income supports him. he has to buy all his own in everything even tho he lives at home too. hes jealous that she doesnt have to support herself. she is in college and i feel that is her only responsibilty for now. she does make her own car payment and pays her own gas and 1/2 of her insurance. anyway back to question. since she has eliminated all friends and doesnt have much free time how can she make new friends? she cant really go to the bowling alley or movies or shopping or even to a club by herself in hopes of meeting friends and she doesnt like sports. she is getting severly depressed that at her age she has no friends when all her life she has had a ton and has always been popular. she really is a good person she just doesnt like the party scene that all her (x) friends seem to like. i would love some advice to hand her but i dont know what to tell her.

As far as lubricant goes, even if he puts it on himself, it's going to go inside of you. It kills sperm and prohibits them swimming, so yes, lube is VERY bad for TTC. Pre-Seed is way less harsh on sperm, if you need lubricant. I use it. It has been shown to kill some sperm, but nothing compared to normal lubricant. Saliva and water also kill sperm. They are just as bad as lubricant. I know the feeling of wanting a baby. Have you visited a gynecologist? After a year of trying, if you are under 30, doctors will ist you with fertility testing, etc. I will definitely visit my doctor asap, if it's a year before I get pregnant. Good luck!

Friday night I spent the night at his house and we kind of ended up getting drunk. We hung with his other roommate and did whatever. But of course, he had his snippy attitude for a good while till he got tipsy then he was nice. We went to sleep very late and he did actually hold me some. Anyway this morn he was very grumpy and hardly wanted to talk to me. Whne I ask what's wrong you look upset he freaks and says stuff like "If I wanted you to know then i would tell you. I told you i have issues and need to think them out but i can't when I have you pestering me". And I said i was just asking cause I cared. So he gets up mad. So then tonight i was with him, and I had to take his roommate up the road for a few mins and my b/f got so mad at me and said just don't come back. I'm like wtf is that about? He said you gonna talk bitchy to me then he was gonna be a a** back. he said take him then, go hang with him then. Sounded totally jealous because his roomy has been all talkative to me and stuff. But he got over it when I came back. After a few we was on the porch smoking a cigarette and I asked him, seriously why you so snappy at me and he chewed my head off. And I said ya know, i really do care for you. And he said ok hush :( he said he doesn't want to talk about our relationship. I'm getting to where I don't know what I'm gonna do. I love this man, but at the same time I hate how he's been acting..... me thinks I need advice... I purchased my first aquatic turtle today, a red ear slider. I know the basics about taking care of them and have been reading about them for a couple hours now. i set up a nice 30 gallon tank with a filter, a platform, and a couple fake plants. does it take time for a turtle to get used to its new home? and i took him out to feed him but he wouldn't eat the food he just seemed more worried about running away. If she had a spontaneous tympanic perforation (busted ear drum to you), that would explain the exudate coming from the ear c. There's an infection going on in her middle ear -- she has otitis media and it sounds bad. The ear needs to be examined, cleaned up and she needs to start antibiotics today. Tympanic perfs in & of themselves are not usually that big a deal. Most seal up by themselves. But without being able to otoscope her ear, I can't tell how large a perf she has or if she may require a patch. I strongly suggest that she let you drive her to an ER and have this looked at. Changing A/T Fluid in '04 Sienna?

I have always owned and worked on M/T vehicles. Now I have an '04 Sienna with an A/T. It has 35,000 miles. Am I correct that it is time to change the A/T Fluid? Should I also drop the pan and inspect for metal shavings as stated in the Mfr. Engine manual, or is that only for when you open the trans for other reasons? I have heard tell of a filter that should be changed, but quick search of the manual did not indicate one. Ist there such a filter on this vehicle? I also searched the engine manual for fluid capacity to no avail. Any idea of the capacity?

I have not played in many OTB tournaments, but I have not heard of such rules. For (a) if the opponent of the person who made the illegal move notices that it is illegal, that opponent should reverse the clock immediately and inform the illegal mover that his clock will continue to run until he makes a legal move (preferably with the touched piece). For (b) that's not as much a chess rule but a venue practice, and would vary from one venue to another.

No, I wouldn't. "Unschooling" in the disguise of "schooling" doesn't work. Neither does learning history as part of everyday life. Everyday life as we know it does not teach the past of a nation or the things that have us to where we are now. Letting kids choose what they feel like learning is not education, it's playing a game. Kids of course aren't going to choose things they need to learn if they can goof off and just paint or play all day. You can have a structured environment without oppressing your students. As a parent I wouldn't want an education so loosely structured with the kids running the show for a school to put my children into. While it sounds good in theory these types of scenerios don't work as well as they show they do. They are comparing their results within themselves because they don't have the ability to be compared to traditional and other forms of educational facililities. Of course they are going to look successful when your school is all you have to compare to. Statistics in that area are misleading and not always what they appear. I have a hard time as a trained educator with a masters degree believing that letting the kids run the show and dictate the curriculum is going to teach them anything. You may as well let them be playing video games all day.

How would you wire 6 speakers to a 2 channel amp?

So in about a year or so i'm getting a Scion Tc. I was wondering how would i wire the amps if possible. my plan was to change the 4 stock pioneer speakers to all 6.5 3 way after market pioneer speakers in the front and rear keeping the stock tweeters. Then in the trunk i plan to add 2 subs and mount in 2 6x9's in the trunk also. I plan to get a mono amp to run the subs and probably a 2 channel amp to run the 6 other speakers. so how would i wire the 2 channel amp to run the 2 6x9s and the 4 6.5 inch speakers? is it possible or would i be better off getting a 3 or 4 channel amp running 2 speakers to each channel. thanks

I'm 19 years old and I can see these lines around my mouth, more pronounced on one side. They really come out in specific lighting and it makes me look old and I don't know what's causing this. My 8 month old son diagnosed with cancer!?

My son is 8 months old and a few weeks ago I saw what I thought was a diaper rash, I start throwing desitin on it but it wouldnt go away. I took him to the doctor for a fever and some wheezing to find out he had bronchitis and while i was in there i asked if he would look at the diaper rash, as soon as he saw it he was quick to say it wasnt a diaoer rash and that he needed to pop it. He poped it and said he was sending it off to get tested. that was monday today it wednesday and when i was changin his diaper i went to apply ointment and more blood and infection popd out of it. I am petrified, not sure if I am scared that my son has MRSA or that I am going to lose him. I keep reading these stories about people who lost their children due to MRSA and I could not imagine losing him. GTA IV Auto-Aim Problems!!!!!?

Okk so I have been having really weird auto-aim problems with GTA IV. In single player, and in multiplayer, I can't seem to get the guns to auto-aim. I can lock-on when I have just my fists or the knife out, but whenever I pull out a gun, I have to free-aim. I know that your supposed to press the trigger all the way and thats what I'm doing but I can't get it to auto-aim. hellpp!!!!

Do books really teach their readers anything? A manual or set of directions is one thing. A how to book is effective. But, something seems off about a lot of book learning. I'm not knocking books...but, it is as if readers are trying to from these abstract knowledges until 2 hours spent reading Great Gatsby. What is the chance that I will need to have my transmission repaired?

I have a 1997 Ford Ranger automatic 6 cyl 3.0 engine. The truck has had the transmission fluid dropped and a new filter added every 6 months up until this year. Is a 7 years old too young to punish? My daughter isn't exactly , but when she does misbehave, or while I am explaining things to her she often gets a bit lippy, not rude, but she does answer back sometimes. If he is well aware of how you feel about your step mother, then he very well did violate your privacy. I will tell you that I have asked my mom on many occions not to repeat things I tell her and then my step dad will call and ask me about it when I know I have only talked to my mom about it in confidence. HCG blood test level says I'm pregnant?

Hi everyone! Ok so...I happened to be at the hospital on Friday night and they wanted to run tests but asked me if I could be pregnant. My fiance and I told the doctor we are trying to conceive so he ordered a urine test. I showed him a calendar and when my last period was and when I ovulated and he saw that on Friday I was 8 or 9 DPO so he ordered a blood test as well because the urine test prob would see it that early. So the urine test came back negative (which I knew it would). But the blood test came back and my HCG was 8. The doctor said it shouldn't be anything higher than 2 before he sent the blood away. However I ended up being discharged by the nurse and not needing the tests afterall and never saw that doctor again. So I never got the chance to ask him if my HCG was up at 8 than doesn't that mean I am pregnant? (I read that anything over 5 means yes) Has this happened to anyone else? Also...If my HCG was 8 on Friday and it will be 72 hours after that test by tomorrow morning...is it too soon to use an early detection pregnancy tests that picks up HCG when it is at 20? What would my HCG be (typically) tomorrow morning? Any personal or professional advice or info is welcome...HELP !!!! Thanks all !

I find it difficult to concisely convey my thoughts. I'll often listen to others speak, or read articles or quotes, and be impressed (and envious) of how they/it were/was able to clearly, fluently, and eloquently say what they needed to say; especially concerning matters or thoughts that, to me, seem difficult to articulate. Are there any ways to acquire this quality? Due to time constraint, I don't think speech cles are possible. I'd highly appreciate suggestions on how to work on this problem on my own time. Thanks!
