I have two Huskies from Alaska?

My cousin ped away in an accident 3 weeks ago and they were going to put his dogs down. He had 8 Siberians in which were trained to pull sleds for races and competition. I do not know why other competitors did not want all of the dogs. I took the last two males and I live in the New England area. These dogs are not happy, they are hyper as can be and want nothing to do with me. I know they must miss their owner and other companions. Do you think they will adapt or do I need to give them to someone back up there that does sledding. They are both 2 years old (brothers). I can't keep them if they will not be happy.
