Fwb do they need....?

So like usual he rings me early in the morning at 2ish am and we talk for hours about random stuff and then we usually spend an hour and a bit playfully arguing( constant yes,no,yes,no.pleaaaase etc) whether or not I should go and see him cause he's lonely. Then randomly he always asks me hows my love life going or in other words life. Do i owe him explanations? There isn't anybody else though because one is enough! But really do i need to notify him if i do have with someone else? And if i break away from my current fwb do i owe him a reason for stopping the relationship?
