Horse owners - does this sound crazy?

I say go for it. I'm actually planning on doing the same thing in a year or so, I'm going to leave my current show barn and move on to another barn. If someone knocked on my door and said that, I'd sure as heck let them work at my barn, but I'd want to get a background check on that person and get to know them before I let them ride or work with my horses. (:
