Do i have cancer in my neck?

i have found a lump on the side of my neck it quite hard an doesnt really hurt i have been to my doctors an he gave me antibiotics to see if it will clear up and to go back in 2 weeks but i just cant help worrying its cancer as my mum and dad have ad and lug cancer. any advice
