Should i tell my daughter?

i just found out recently my mother has gastric cancer. obviously, it's devastating news and i'm debating whether or not to tell my 4 year old daughter. i feel like she should know that her grandma is sick but i feel like she wouldn't be able to understand it if i told her. does she have a right to know or is she just too young?
